Accessibility Statement
The Nadia Valsecchi Foundation · Last updated October 6, 2026
Our commitment
The Nadia Valsecchi Foundation wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people with disabilities. Many of the people we serve, such as patients, caregivers, and families affected by pancreatic cancer, may rely on assistive technology or need content that is easy to read.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive, or learning disabilities.
What we do
To make the Site accessible, we:
Provide text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images
Use clear headings and a consistent layout so pages are easy to navigate with a screen reader or keyboard
Check that text has enough color contrast against its background
Write in plain language wherever we can, especially when explaining research
Review new pages for accessibility before we publish them
Known limitations
We are still working toward full conformance. Some parts of the Site may not yet meet every guideline:
Older videos may not have accurate captions or transcripts
Some PDF documents, such as reports and scientific materials, may not be fully accessible
Content from third parties, including the Donorbox donation form and embedded YouTube videos, is controlled by those providers. We choose providers that support accessibility, but we cannot guarantee their content fully conforms
If you cannot access any content, we will provide it in another format (see below).
Feedback and help
If you have trouble using any part of the Site, or need information in a different format (such as large print, plain text, or an audio description), please tell us. When you contact us, it helps to include the page address, a short description of the problem, and the assistive technology or browser you use, if any.
